Our studio had the privilege of renovating a magnificent family home in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield - a prestigious neighbourhood adorned with private roads and lush greenery.
The clients, who had already resided in the house for a considerable period, entrusted us with bringing their vision to life and creating a truly exceptional residence. Our task was to add a contemporary extension and reconfigure the rooms to craft a remarkable master bedroom suite on the top floor. The clients aspired to achieve a timeless, cohesive scheme through a monochrome palette, carefully selecting touches of colour for added sophistication and depth.
Throughout the meticulous renovation process, we incorporated various notable features that played a crucial role in elevating the design and infusing character into the space. One standout feature was the transformation of the existing staircase. While retaining the handrail, we revamped the balustrade design to achieve a contemporary and high-end look. In the main entrance hall, we reinstated a striking faux fireplace accompanied by a bespoke Venetian mirrored wall and elegant wall panelling. The main entrance now serves as a grand centrepiece, exuding a warm and welcoming ambience while offering a glimpse into the overall aesthetic of the home.
To seamlessly connect the indoor and outdoor areas, we introduced Crittall doors. These allow an abundance of natural light to flood the kitchen and family area, providing captivating views of the garden. The kitchen area, boasting exquisite Sub Zero appliances, was thoughtfully divided into several zones to accommodate both everyday family life and formal dining. Tray ceiling details with inset coving, along with separate LED strips, wall lights, and chandeliers on separate circuits, were used to define the different zones and allow for personalised mood lighting. Furthermore, we integrated additional amenities such as a gym, swimming pool, entertainment suite, and home office, ensuring that every aspect of modern living was catered for. Even a dog shower was included.
On the top floor, a splendid master suite awaits, complete with his and hers dressing rooms, offering a luxurious private retreat.
